Sacramento River Cats

Photo Credit: Sacramento River Cats  Dinger is the mascot for The Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The River Cats play their home games at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, California, and are part of the Pacific Coast League. On a cold blustery night 20 winters ago, strange sounds began echoing through the air at the Sutter Health Park (formerly Raley Field) construction site. The odd noises led members of the River Cats’ front office down a path leading underneath Tower Bridge. There, on the bank of the river, was the oddest sight: a distraught and very large cat sitting on a rock. The River Cats’ staff cautiously approached the imposing, yet welcoming feline and asked if they could be of assistance. The cat turned with a large, comforting smile. “Hello, my name is Dinger, and I live here on the river,” he said. “I hope I didn’t scare you. Sprocket is the mascot of the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The Trash Panda are in the Southern League. They play in Madison, Alabama. The team is an affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. They play their home games at Toyota Field. It all stared on a run-of-the-mill October day in Alabama. Kids were playing, birds were chirping, everything was normal in the world… until it wasn’t. At a local waste dump lived a little bandit eyed rascal named Sprocket. He spent his mornings moving from trash can to trash can looking for that day’s “breakfast”. This particular morning was going just as he had planned when, CRASH! A pile of hazardous waste came raining down upon this tiny raccoon, but something was different. This tiny raccoon was no longer tiny. In a matter of seconds Sprocket had grown 5 feet in length and was walking on his two back feet. So how did Sprocket react to this rapid transformation!? Photo Credit: Montgomery Biscuits  Big Mo is the mascot for the Montgomery Biscuits. The Biscuits are based in Montgomery, Alabama. The team is the affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. They are in the Southern League and play in Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium.  Big Mo lives in a bedroom in the clubhouse. He likes giving hi-5s (it's his most used emoji) and taking pictures with fans. If he wasn't a mascot he would be a professional eating contestant. Big Mo, a Biscuit loving beast, is entering his 16th season as mascot of the Montgomery Biscuits. He was born on May 23, 2003, being revealed to the public at Jubilee City Fest. Big Mo was created by Custom Characters, Inc., of Glendale, California.  Before Big Mo lost his weight, he weighed more than a few bakers dozen at one point.  During the 2017 offseason, thanks to the fine folks at Scale Back Alabama, Big Mo
