Lynchburg Hillcats




The Lynchburg Hillcats in Lynchburg, Virginia, are a Class A-Advanced team in the Carolina League. They are a farm team of the Cleveland Indians.

Southpaw is the mascot labeled as "Director of Fun" for the Hillcats team. Southpaw has been the mascot for Lynchburg for many years. He arrived in Lynchburg in early 2017.

Southpaw was adopted from the Lynchburg Humane Society in January of 2017. Southpaw has big feet and wore HUGE shoes. He has fit in puuurfectly with the Hillcats by adding to the excitement of City Stadium. This lovable green giant can be seen dancing on dugouts, driving around on his four wheeler and entertaining at birthday parties. He enjoys taking He enjoys taking photos with fans and cheering on his number one team, The Hillcats.
Outside of the Stadium, Southpaw lends a hand in the community, hanging out with students during the Hillcats' Hit the Books Reading program, and volunteering for numerous non-profits. Southpaw graduated from Feline Training Academy and received a masters in Mascoting with a Minor in Cathletics. Southpaw spends his free time watching Animal Planet and BASEBALL and hanging out at the scratch post with his furry friends. He is a talented meowsician (he plays puurrcussion). Southpaw wants his fans to know that he thinks they are all PAWsome!

Favorite color: Lime green, like his fur and Hillcats jersey!

Favorite sport: Baseball, DEFINITELY
