El Paso Chihuahuas

Chico is the official mascot of the El Paso Chihuahuas. The team is a member of the Pacific Coast League and are an affiliate of the San Diego Padres. They are located in El Paso,Texas and play their home games at Southwest Univesity Park. It opened in 2014.

Chico was born on April 14, 2014 where he was first introduced on the radio. He is 7 ft and weighs 7 pounds, soaking wet.

He loves: More than anything that matters in life is scratching him behind his ear.

His dislikes: Bears, playing cards, cats that hang out by rivers, hiking mountains, air planes, salty honey and the Albuquerque Isotopes.


Chico’s favorite San Diego Player is The Swinging Friar (Mascot for the Padres).
Favorite Song is “Who Let The Dogs Out”.
2014: Chico was voted Pacific Coast League Mascot of the Year

2014-2018: Chico was El Paso Mascot of the Year

Chihuahuas are the smallest dogs in the world. They are loyal, friendly, and make good family pets.
