Cubbie Bear is the mascot for The Iowa Cubs. They are in the Pacific Coast League and are are an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. They are located in Des Moines, Iowa, and play their home games at Principal Park which opened in 2004.

There is a wild animal loose at Principal Park! But don't worry ... it's only Cubbie Bear. The loveable mascot of the Iowa Cubs roams around Principal Park entertaining fans of all ages. A year after the Iowa Cubs became affiliated with the Chicago Cubs in 1981, Cubbie was born. Cubbie always wants fans to have a good time cheering on the Iowa Cubs!

He is tall and bearish and bats with both paws. He throws... peanuts after the second inning. He wears number 1 and resides in Principal Park. When asked if he wasn't playing baseball, he said, “I would be roaming the forest looking for honey and berries.”
