Mugsy is the mascot for the Salem Red Sox in the Carolina League. They are an affiliate of the 2018 World Series Champion, Boston Red Sox. They are located in Salem, Virginia. They play their home games at Salem Memorial Ballpark, built in 1995.

Mugsy is a St. Bernard that was born in 1997 and like many dogs, an old baseball was his first toy! Mugsy’s favorite part about working for the Red Sox is getting to see all of his friends come out to watch the Red Sox!

Mugsy lives at Haley Toyota Field in Salem, VA and loves seeing all the smiling faces at the ballpark. Mugsy's main job is to entertain, interact, and pump up the crowd during the game. His favorite baseball team is the Salem Red Sox, but loves the Boston Red Sox because he sees many of his friends playing for the team in Titletown.

In his free time, Mugsy hangs out with his friends, hitting dingers over the wall of Mini Fenway, and dreaming of hitting one in Fenway someday. He is excited for a great 2019 season and can't wait to see what the new season holds
