Delmarva Shorebirds

Sherman is the mascot for the Delmarva Shorebirds based in Salisbury, Maryland. They are members of the Atlantic League and affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles. The Shorebirds play at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The name "Shorebirds" refers to the marine waterfowl of the Delmarva Peninsula.

Sherman is the official mascot of the Delmarva Shorebirds. He is a 7-foot tall furry bird that loves to entertain fans of all ages during home games at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. He also can be spotted in the area making appearances at schools, churches, hospitals, area restaurants, libraries and more. His hobbies include doing the Chicken Dance at Shorebirds games, signing autographs and launching t-shirts. Sherman made his first appearance during the 1997 season, and he has been a staple ever since.
