Greensborough Grasshoppers


Guilford is the mascot for the Greensboro Grasshoppers who play in the South Atlantic League. They are an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. They are located in Greensboro, North Carolina, and play their home games at First National Bank Field, that opened in 2005 and seats 7,499 fans.

Guilford enjoys cheering on the Grasshoppers with is fellow fans. When he is not doing the YMCA on top of the dugout, he can often be found polishing the 2011 South Atlantic League trophy.

Guilford loves to play musical chairs with fans. He also makes sure the ballpark is pest free with his water gun, just like his sponsor Pest Management Systems, Inc. Guilford’s favorite color is green and he loves to eat hot dogs. Be sure to visit First National Bank Field and give him a great big high-five!

 Guilford growing up around Greensboro he was always jealous of his cousin, the bat. This started him at a young age wanting to be a mascot for the local minor league team. He has a remarkable sense of humor always cracking jokes and messing with the fans in his kind hearted spirit. During the season it’s just easier on him if he lives here, at the stadium.

During the off season he spends lots of time traveling around whether it's to local schools or his trips overseas. He recently visited Liverpool and Stonehenge.

Striker is the Florida Fire Frogs mascot. The Frogs are a member of the Florida State League in Kissimmee, Florida, part of the Greater Orlando metropolitan area. Founded in 2017, the team is an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. They play their home games at Osceola County Stadium. Striker the Fire Frog has served as the mascot for the Florida Fire Frog, an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves located in Central Florida, since 2017.
