The Gwinnett Stripers, formerly the Gwinnett Braves, are the Atlanta Braves AAA baseball affiliate located in Gwinnett County, roughly an hour north of the city of Atlanta. Home games are played at Coolray Field.

Born on September 15, 2008, Chopper is the world-renowned mascot of the Gwinnett Stripers. He is a descendant of General Beauregard Lee, Georgia’s famous groundhog who predicts the weather with his shadow. Chopper’s favorite activities include wood-chucking, base running, and Build-A-Burger contestant demolishing.

When he’s done taking naps in the dugout before home games, Chopper loves teasing his friends around the ballpark and taking photos with fans. While the Stripers are on the road, Chopper can be found making appearances around Gwinnett County and the Atlanta metro area.
