Bolt is the mascot for the Winston-Salem Dash located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They are in the Carolina League and have been an affiliate of the Chicago White Sox since 1997. Home games are played in BB&T Ballpark.
Since his arrival in 2009, BOLT has been an electrifying presence, not only in the ballpark but all around the city of Winston-Salem. Some may wonder, but he’s not a dog, he’s not a bear, but rather a Bleacher Creature.
His notable achievements include helping the Dash become #1 in all of High A baseball for attendance over the last nine years, being the only Minor League Mascot with a Mohawk, and holding the record for most belly shakes by a mascot in the Minor Leagues.
BOLT loves dancing, eating cheesy pig-dogs and competing in races and physical competitions (even if he has never actually won). BOLT provides Dash fans with high-voltage entertainment, and just like the dash in the city’s name, bonds two proud communities, BOLT bonds people together with something stronger: Laughter and Love!
Bolt has 25 new favorite White Sox Players every season when our team arrives here in Winston-Salem! But, he has always admired Fielder Jones, and thinks he has a really cool name. He competes in tug of war, races around the bases, as well as other physical competitions. And of course, his favorite sport to watch is baseball, but during the offseason Bolt really gets into hotdog eating competitions!
