New Britain Bees
Sting is the mascot for the New Britain Bees based in New Britain, Connecticut. They are a member of the Atlantic League which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. Beginning in the 2016 season, the Bees have played their home games at New Britain Stadium.
Sting was born in New Britain, CT in 2016. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs 50 Jars of Honey. Sting can be found at New Britain Bees games throwing out t-shirts and giving out hugs to fans. When there's no games at New Britain Stadium, Sting is known for playing pranks on the Bees office staff.
When he's not at the stadium, you can find him helping out around the community. Sting's many community appearances led his team to be selected for the Outstanding Club Community Service Award, given out by the Atlantic League. Some of Sting's recent appearances include the CT Walk for Haiti, the Arthritis Walk, and the Military & First Responder Appreciation at the Elk's Club.
Sting's favorite color is yellow and he loves honey. His favorite movie is Field of Dreams. Sting resides in the Bees clubhouse in New Britain Stadium. His strengths include getting the Bees buzzin'. Sting's biggest weakness is his speed. He has yet to win a race around the bases against the kids, but with help from the coaches and players, he hopes to one day win. Sting's favorite dance is the waggle dance, which he can use to communicate with other bees.
