New Jersey Jackals
The official mascot for the New Jersey Jackals is an anthropomorphic Jackal named Jack. He was born on July 25, 1995 in Southeastern Europe. He settled mysteriously in the rock quarry at Montclair State University He was discovered during the building of the Yogi Berra Stadium.
A “Jack-of-all-Trades”, he handled the JackHammer during construction of the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center where he was hired as the official team mascot.
He entertains fans of all ages and autographs souvenirs (hats, shirts, balls, bats, gloves, cards, tickets, etc.) during every home game. His trademark game antics include Tackle the Jackal, T-shirt toss, the Cha Cha Slide and the YMCA. Jack is popular with children who attend the games, as well as the community. The Jackals play at Yogi Berra Stadium located on the Little Falls side of the Montclair State Univercity campus and named for Hall of Fame ex-Yankee catcher Yogi Berra. a longtime Montclair resident.
