Rhubarb is a seven-foot (with shoes) Reindeer that can be seen dancing on dugouts and roaming the crowd all spring and summer long at Cheney Stadium, home of the Tacoma Rainiers. Rhubarb is known for his endless appetite and loves hot dogs. This crazy caribou adores Tacoma, which is built around the South Sound, a beautiful inlet of the Pacific Ocean. When he’s not at the ballpark, Rhubarb can be found at schools, hospitals, and with anyone who needs a helping hand.
Epic Sax Gorilla is known for his “guerilla” performance style, popping up around Cheney Stadium seemingly out of nowhere. This serenading silverback was gifted a used saxophone by neighboring Henry Foss High School’s band department, and is rarely seen without it. Whether he’s playing in the stands of Cheney, hanging out of a cab window in New York City, or atop the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, ESG has grabbed his title of the saxophone’s poster ape by the horn. Although this playful primate can be seen all around the world, Epic Sax Gorilla has one home, and that is Tacoma, Washington.
