Ike the Spike is the mascot for the State College Spikes based in State College, Pennsylvania. They play in the New York–Penn League and are an affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They play at Medlar Field, Lubrano Park.

Ike has been the ambassador for the Spikes all over Central PA since he first repelled down the backstop and greeted players and coaches from the State College Little League on May 6, 2006. With many deer friends across the region, Ike is a busy individual the whole year visiting school programs, charity functions, birthday parties and more events where people like to have fun!

Most of all, Ike looks forward to seeing all of his buddies at the ballpark for State College Spikes home games! Ike loves to dance and make people laugh for a few bucks, so if you see him, say hello – only opposing New York-Penn League teams need to “Fear the Deer” as far as Ike is concerned!

Standing 6 feet, 2 inches (or so), and weighing it at a buck fifty, from the woods of Central PA, it’s Ike the Spike! You can bring Ike out to your next party or function by contacting the Spikes at 814-272-1711.
