Big L (the baseball player to the right):
It has taken many years and a few stops along the way, but Big L has finally found his way back to Lexington. He was raised by two horse trainers who worked on many of the beautiful horse farms of the area. He spent his childhood days playing the game of baseball in the fields of these sprawling farms.
After a stand out high school and college career, here in Lexington, he was drafted by the Houston Colt 45's. He toiled for many long and tough years in the Houston minor leagues system wondering if he would ever make the majors.
His dreams were finally realized one day when he got the call that he was going up to the Houston team to play in his first major league game. His dreams had not been realized by the 45's that had drafted him though. These dreams came true with the organization that had become known as The Houston Astros, the same organization helping Lexington's baseball dreams come true today. He played for the Astros for many years as a great and feared hitter.
Big L decided to return to Lexington with baseball as the original Lexington Legend.

PeeWee (the baseball head to the left)
Pee Wee's love for baseball erupted in his teens when he began playing little league baseball in his home state of Georgia. He became a smash hit when he set Georgia's little league record for the most homeruns ever to be hit in the peach state.
After watching baseball greats from California to as far east as Boston, Pee Wee found his heart to be stuck in great Lexington Kentucky. Every year the Lexington Legends had kept him coming back for more great games. He just could not seem to stay away from the beautiful bluegrass state and the southern hospitality.
Pee Wee met his best friend Big L. Big L shared his popcorn with Pee Wee and then began to notice that Pee Wee shared the same love for baseball that he did. They have never missed a Legends ball game together since. Pee Wee now resides in Lexington where he is Big L's next-door neighbor. Outside of Applebee's Park the two can be found mowing grass together and playing baseball.
